I am not sure why this Justin Beiber thing bothers me so much. If one more person says to me 'so hear about the Rolling Stone interview har har har' I might just flip my shit on them.
Here is my take: I think that was really dumb to ask him a question about rape and/or abortion, he's 16 for goodness sake I probably would have spouted off something similarly stupid at that age. He is a decent kid, he probably never even thought about things like that in the past so he says a half formed opinion (because he is polite kid and wants to answer the question) and then gets vilified for it. The question never should have been asked in the first place. Period. That journalist should be reprimanded for trying to cause a scandal.
And let me explain what I mean by decent before anyone asks: I have never seen video of him taking bong hits, he has never been charged with grand theft, never been in rehab, he says he is practicing Christian, has people constantly coaching him, knows how to take the criticism and make fun of himself (perhaps due to the coaching) and he is polite. Thats a decent kid.
So please don't come to me with some half formed opinion that you can not support because you heard one scrap of an interview.
