Fairies' 8th single
Fairies is a group that I have been following since their first single in 2011, though I don't really post about them here. Time flies so fast and they are on their way to releasing their 8th single on May 28 called 「Super Hero / Love Me, Love You More」They have been releasing double A side single since then. I quite lost a bit of interest since their 6th single, Hikari no Hate ni. They shifted into the cutesy type. I prefer hearing cool songs from them. lol. This upcoming single is a comeback. They have released their music video for Super Hero and it's a really cool song, however, I have some thoughts about it and the group.
I love this group because they look innocent and full of potential. They are all so young but they can really dance and perform well. They sound different from those other usual Jpop girl groups and they have developed their own style. My favorites are Sora and Miria. Sora is simple cool and gorgeous. Miria is the pretty and cute type. Haha. I think Miria's asset is her lips. :3
Momoka has always been on the spotlight since their debut song, she sings all the time and is always the center of every performance. I am not sure if she is the best singer of the group because I haven't heard other members sing. Her dancing is just as good as the others. Well, she is the one being pushed by their agency. What the other fans and I are asking is that maybe they can divide the song into each one of them. There are just six of them in the group unlike other groups which have more members (they were 7 before Kawane left). Aside from Momoka, Sora and Miki also sing some parts. The others just dance and being focused sometimes. There are times when Miria, Rikako, or Mahiro are with Momoka at the center. I hope they give equality to the members. It's not that I don't like Momoka. Please don't get me wrong. Hihi.
In this music video, I admit, I don't like the tune that much, it sounds cool and okay. I was surprised to hear Sora do rap. She made the song great! The video is dominated by Momoka and Sora, and Miki. It was simple and the dance is great. I love their outfits, pretty cool. They don't wear skimpy clothes to be sexy. They look wholesome. Somehow, I don't really recognize Rikako and Mahiro anymore. Maybe it's because I don't see them often or because of the make up, or maybe lack of screen time. Sometimes, they give chance for other members to be in center in some of their dance formations.
I wish to hear each one's voices if not now, then maybe on their next singles.
