I suppose I ought to introduce myself. I am Manfred von Karma, and I am going to be one of the combat trainers on this ship. I would say that if you have no intention of putting any effort into learning combat whatsoever, you shouldn't even waste my time, although I have a feeling that I'll be dealing with you lot whether I like it or not

There are three of us, actually. Apparently, we're to be training those who haven't received any formal education in combat.

...That's pathetic. How could they not have combat training?

I'm under the impression that a good deal of them are civilians.

I suppose I won't be able to find a skilled sparring partner, then.

Hm. You sound like you'd be more interesting than the idiots I'll regularly be dealing with.

I have to hope the other weapons trainers will be competent as far as that goes. There also seems to be one person who believes herself talented, but, well...

For all our sakes', I hope it goes well. I won't be able to stand the noise if they're all crying from their failures.

Hmph, neither will I. That's no incentive for me to go easy on them, though.
