I feel like the worst person in the world today. Like a complete and utter asshole, but I came to the tough decision this morning that I need to find new homes for my three cats.
I hate that it is this way, but I just cannot take care of them or give them the love and attention they truly deserve.
So please flist if you know of anyone who could take any of them (or all three) that would make this so much less painful than trying to find a shelter to take them.
Oliver (I call him Olly) is about 2yrs old. He's a rescue we found in front of our house when he was just a few weeks old and I was pregnant with Render. He's not fixed and slightly behind on shots (he's had his kitten shots though). He's a very light shade of orange/yellow and medium long hair. Very playful. Loves to cuddle. He's good with children and with other animals (dogs and cats alike).
Mordrid is about five years old. He I have also had since he was a kitten. He is VERY independent and at first very shy. He has lived his entire life around other animals and has always been great with my son. If he's in a house with other animals/children he's most likely to simply find his spot to chill out in and pretty much hang out there. He'll let you know when he wants attention. One the occaisions where he's been the only animal in the house (during a move he was for a breif time) he's a bit more outgoing. He does like to snuggle when the mood strikes him. But again he's very sweet and laid back. He is fixed but he has an allergy to fleas (we're pretty sure that's what it is, it's an allergy of some type) where he will lick all of his fur off if he gets even a single flea.
And finally there's Junkie. Junkie has been passed around from many families and really needs a place where he can spend the rest of his years. He's roughly 9yrs old but still a very active and lively cat. He's HUGE. Despite sharing the same food bowl with the other two cats (who are not starving by any means) he is still a good 20lbs. But as I said he loves to play. He's great with other cats and has been WONDERFUL with my son who loves to "hug" him by laying on top of him or pet him by patting his back. Junkie loves nothing more than to be "spanked" actually. He's a very intelligent cat who answers to his name and responds well to verbal directions. He is also fixed. Junkie last lived with my mom so it is very important to me that he goes to a family that can keep him for the rest of his life. Oh and junkie is a BIG time snuggler. He's got a great instinct for when you're down or sick and will come and snuggle with you.
so seriously guys, any help would really make this very hard process so much easier.
