The first pedicure of the season always feels so good. I'm amazed at the amount of dead skin a professional can get off of my feet.
I've realized I want to start updating more, again, but I keep putting it off. I keep thinking that I have to catch up all of the last year or so, but you know what? There are no rules here. I can do whatever I want! Yay! These are some of the things running through my head today:
I'm in a really good mood today.
John and I started the Master Cleanse fast again, just doing it for 4 days this time. There's no way I'm going to a sari party this weekend and not eating Indian food! I'm on day two. The hardest part for me is usually the caffeine withdrawal, so I cheated a bit this morning and had a cup of Earl Grey tea because yesterday was rough. I went to bed at 9:30, I was so sleepy and headachy from the lack of coffee. I feel much better today, and can deal with the drastically reduced calories I'm getting. Of course I managed to spill about half of my day's lemonade in my car on the way to Angel Nail, so that's not good. Hopefully all the junk in the floor absorbed most of the maple syrup.
It's also hard to do personal cheffing while fasting - I cooked all day yesterday for my one client, and had to keep reminding myself not to snack on the bits of carrot or cheese that I usually do.
I get to do another cooking demonstration for diabetes cooking, this time for the ADA. And I've learned my lesson,
museofire, I'm charging them a lot more than I charged you. :) Gotta figure out how to talk for 30 minutes about low-fat, low-sugar banana pudding, though, so I'm earning my pay. And its at the GA World Congress Center, so it's close to my kitchen. I've got to give my contact a call, once Tony F.'s done with the circular saw. They've been building the touring set for the Atlanta Shakespeare Company in the large open office space we all share, making it impossible to conduct any telephone business. I've got him trained, though, to ask if I'm making phone calls before making lots of noise. It makes me laugh now when
froofie warns us all of "loud noise" before using the paper shuffler-thingy. She ain't got nothin' on Falcitelli.
I'm going to see Pan's Labyrinth tonight with John, since it's gotten so many rave reviews here on LJ.
Anyway, enough babbling, back to work with me.
