Good afternoon/evening everyone!!
I worked on a custom order for a client today; she's getting married on April 1 and wanted a flower crown to go with her colors! This crown is nicknamed the "Night Vale" crown because the colors she wanted were dark purple, cream, and black. It came together rather nicely I must say!
The materials! I adore this black ruffle trim- it's what I used to line the inside of the crown, to make a soft protective layer from the flowers and the hair and skin. One of these days I might do a step by step tutorial on how I make my flower crowns, but that day is not today d:
The crown is mostly that nice rich violet, with a few flecks of the nice cream flowers and a good blend of the dark purple-blue sprigs as well. It closes in the back with a pair of floral wire hooks that are wrapped in black ribbon, allowing the circumference of the crown to be altered to the measurement of your head.
A nice picture of the side, which gives a good look at the berries and sprigs of purple-blue that are mixed into the crown.
How about a close up pic? :D Lots of little details here.
And for the last pic, a nice close up of how the ruffles look on the inside of the crown. Isn't that pretty?
I hope that my client loves her crown and that she wears it proudly on her big day!! Can't wait to get pics of it finished.
A flower crown like this would cost about $40 as a custom order. Want one like it? Message me!!
