As of right now, there isn't a way out-- not one we're aware of, anyway. I imagine if one exists, it wouldn't be easy getting to it.

Mm, I agree. I've been told it's pointless to try to find one, but... I don't want to truly believe that quite yet.

Then it's simple, don't. Not until you have expired all of your options, at any rate. There is an old saying, "where there's a will, there's a way."

Ah-- you're right about that. It's not bad here, but I would like to go back home, so I should try a little harder.

[nods] I can do that. I already have some information regarding the Overlord and a little bit of what's happened before, but none of it seems to lead to any sort of possible exit. Not yet, at least.

The Overlord? [ she raises an eyebrow ] And just who might that be?

[she looks mildly surprised]

I've never seen her for myself, but she's supposedly some sort of ruler and overseer of Somarium. With what I've gathered, I don't think she's a threat.

[karmaism]

Ruler and overseer? [ she's frowning again, as she looks away briefly, then back again ] So there is someone imposing this on us, then. I see.

But she isn't a threat, you say?

I don't know about that. I've also been told she isn't responsible for us coming here, nor does she know the exact reason why. Ah-- hold on, I've written this down somewhere...

[she takes a moment to shuffle out a notebook from the desk in her bedroom, then sits back down in front of the Dreamberry]

-- Here we go. Let's see... If anything, we likely have an enemy out there referred to as the Noctaere, who may or may not be a part of something bigger regarding all this. Not too long ago, they also might have been responsible for a highly destructive sandstorm and the monsters than came in, and it was the Overlord herself who not only fought them back, but repaired the town as it had been before. If she's willing to do all that for us, then I wouldn't consider her to be one.

[ she's quiet for a moment, taking all of this in ]

So I imagine this Overlord is sighted on fairly rare occations, then.

Yes. From what I hear, she doesn't show herself very often at all, but she does have children that can occasionally be seen in some of her shops. I've been meaning to try my chances speaking with them, although I'm not raising my hopes too high...

[karmaism]

Children? [ she seems to be considering this for a moment ] Well, should you ever find yourself lucky enough to track one down, I wouldn't mind exchanging a few words with any of them, myself. Miss...?
