MY TASTE: GOOD RUSSIAN POP
Well, wanted to babble about it some time ago, and also, somehow, whole yesterday and today I am listening to more russian pop, than I ever had. I dont know why I started to listen russian pop yesterday, but whatever.
Talking about Russian pop... its horrid. Really. Maybe I am not the one who should say that, 'cause I'm not into it to decide is it good or not, but I think I can say my opinion, since at New Year days all our musicans and singers are coming out from their dorms to have some holiday shows. In a New Year days you really can see all russian pop stars on all TV chanells. Looking at them all.... man, that's all????
So, yes, our pop is horrid. Remember eurovision 2007? And those 3 bitches (ouch, sorry for wording) from us? EW. EW. EEEEWWWW. Girl, who makes solo, actually, was cute and shy girl before 0_0 Really. I had culture shock. I was really so much ashamed for us on eurovision. Because they are disgusting. That's why I SO MUCH LOVE THIS GUY. See video below, its a parody for this song, check it, I beg you, it so much love, I cry every time I watch it. ESPECIALLY DANCE PART. AND ENGLISH. OMG, I LOVE YOU, GALKIN. Ah, I am insulting russian pop too much. I started to write this post, because I wanted to show you GOOD russian pop. Yes, good russian pop exist, but its rare. And, I belive, not much people will agree with me, that's it good pop. Its only my opinion, okay. Dont hurt me, russians~
Anyway, here I go.
At first short pre-history. Here, in Russia, we have some super lame show. "Factory of Stars" it calls. It's when they take bunch of around-20-yars-old people and put them under glass (okay, in the house whene cameras everywhere) and make stars out of them within... 3 months. Or so. As you may guess, nothing good is coming out of it. Usually winners are all-the-same nice girls/boys with good voices, but all projectes dies before it even born. Even if some project with 'new' star beginns, in dies in process. Anyway, I didnt saw 80% of those people anymore since their 3-months-tranning ended. BUT. Surprise. Group and solo singer I call good, come from this show. Somehow.
1. Yulia Savicheva
I think she's from 2th or 3th 'Factory of Stars' show. It was when I watched this show. I think I stopped to watch it on 3th... Anyway, when they put her with others into cameras-everywhere-hause she was the most terrible among them XD She was reeeeally young, like 17 years old? Or 18? But in the end, somehow, she wrote her ownt textes for songs, which was really gentle and pretty. In the end of show I liked her the best, even if she didnt won. Anyway, lately she got really popular because, well, she sings really nice, and she sang theme song for popular series (which was horrid, but, somehow, really popular XD). Ah, and she was on Eurovision 2004 from us!!! But since she was young, and she's fragile and shy, she didnt sang really well (was too nervous, ne)... also song was not in her usual style :\ She got 11th place and everyone is Russia was insulting her for that. Poor girl :( Anyway, now she's quite popular and I am waiting for her new album :)
Here's her the most famous hit now, theme song of that series, ne... "If love lives in your heart". Very nice song and also great PV.

More about this song you can understand by watching another version of PV, that shows it in series kind of way. Those series was about ugly girl, ne. Super ugly girl. And title of series was 'You may not born being pretty' (part of 'You may not born being pretty, but being happy' like this, ne).
Then, another her song and PV. I love this song, the title is "Мало" ("Not enough"). I didnt get the meaning of PV, but song is wonderful, really. Very sad song (;_;)

Boy band YAAY~! They are from first 'Factory of Stars' show, and they won in it. In truth, everything was hanging on super-curled-hair boy. While show was going, he wrote nice solo song and grown around himself very romantic aura. Like 'so-in-love-boy'. And then show was coming to end, managers just stuck to him 3 other boys and 'debuted' them as group with his song as debut song. Like this, ne... But its not like other boys are bad, off course. Even more, my favorite is blonde-one, keyboard-boy. But whatever. Unlike Savicheva, I am not liking them in 'I like their songs style' way, I am just liking some their songs. Out of their 3 albums (+4 solo albums) I like only 6 songs XD But its so much more than other russian pop groups, so they winning place in my good-pop list XD
So, lets talk about songs. And PV's. Their PV's sucks XD Well, not really sucks, but they are boring, or wtf or eh?. And when you starting to like PV, suddently something super awkward popping out XDDD

PV is okay, and song is nice... but chorus fails XDDD Its... awkward. I would like to give you translation... but it would be difficuld. Nice thing in this song is, that text is pretty. Really, they uses nice wording 'mint snow melts on lips', 'the sky pours a lemon juice', 'sugary sand'. Like this, ne~

Because they sang really touching words, and first kind of gangsta guy sings it in 'oh-my-I-am-so-hot' kind of way and camera rolls to super-curled-hair guy, and remeber what I said about his romantic aura. He sings the same words, but in his own oh-im-so-in-love way, like if first guy was just singing words, and this boy singing it to his love, ne. Girl is ennyoing by the way >; MAAA, ITS ME THINKING TOO MUCH XD
