Well, it's been a year.
This time last year, I was enjoying our wedding reception, having been a married woman for all of an hour. And I was the happiest woman in the world.
Still am.
Today, Matt and I went back to Baltimore, where we were married, and spent the day at the National Aquarium. I always feel so much at peace around fish (though we made sure to avoid the jellyfish exhibit, bleeeeh), and the dolphin show just made me smile. I love dolphins, and I would give anything to be able to swim with one.
After we left the aquarium, we walked around the inner harbor for a bit before we ended up at a rather interesting restaurant: Fogo De Chao, a Brazilian steakhouse. It's like... endless meat. They keep bringing you pieces of different high-quality grilled beef, chicken, pork, lamb, and sausage until you turn your card over. You just pick what you want when they come over with the meat on the skewers. And it's a fixed price, not counting desserts and alcohol. SO GOOD. I'd recommend it if you like meat and you're looking for a special occasion place.
When the manager and staff found out it was our anniversary, they comped our desserts. ^_^
So we're home now, exhausted but happy, and ready for many more years.
