(no subject)
I'm home. For the first time in over a month, really. Finals week is FINALLY over (thank God, I was beginning to lose my sanity over all the exams and papers!) and I headed back home last Monday. So I've been home for a few days now. It feels weird though, and not in a good way. I miss college already. I miss going to the dining commons every day to eat and seeing my friends there. I miss playing guitar in people's dorms until the wee hours of the morning. I miss the parties, I miss the classes, I miss the people. I could go on, but suffice to say I am not thrilled about being back in suburbia.
However, that might change soon. My dad and I are hosting our annual Memorial Day Cookout tomorrow, so I'll be able to see my friends back home, introduce them to some of my college friends who happen to live in the area, and tell them all my crazy stories. And this year, I've decided to spice things up a bit and have an open mic as well! My friend is bringing his PA system, and we've already got our guitars and mic set up, so all people need to do is stop by and show their talents. I think it's gonna be really fun...I've already got some songs planned for my set.
So, for now, I guess all I have to do is wait for tomorrow, and hope my summer is brightened a bit.
