This little gem got posted on
customers_suck recently, and I think it is fully deserving of my coveted "WTF?" award.

I would like to bring your attention to a complaint I have about the experience at your Milford department store. I hope you are able to resolve this situation.
I am very upset that you banned my 13 year old daughter from your store. While it was wrong that she tried to steal a DVD she is only 13 and does not know better. You could have simply told her not to do it again and she would have listened and apologized. She made a mistake. Instead, according to my daughter you grabbed her and brought her into the back room and treated her horribly and called the police. Why call the police on a terrified child made a small mistake? How dare you treat an innocent child like this. I had to drop everything that I was doing to pick her up at the police station! Worse however is that fact I cannot take her with me to Target when I go shopping.
I told my daughter it was wrong and she should not do it again. That should be enough. She is just a child.
I visit Target Corporation about 4-6 times a month. On average, I spend $26-$55 when I patronize your store.
Here's what I'd like to see happen: 1st - Allow my daughter to be allowed to return to the store. She is sorry for what she did.
2nd - An Apology from the Manager from the torture she recieved in the hands of your employees.
3rd - Compensation for humilation and needless calling of the police. You could have simply called me, let her go and I would have talked to her. Instead you had to torture and terrorize her and get the police involved as if she were an insane serial killer.
Despite this problem, I will likely shop at your store again, and I'm not sure if I can recommend Target Corporation to others.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.

Lady, if your child is so astonishingly stupid as to be all of thirteen and not know that taking things that don't belong to her is wrong, then she probably really doesn't need to be out in public without some sort of keeper, and the problem becomes not that you have a future criminal on your hands, but rather that you are a horribly negligent parent who should be slapped for letting your precious, moronic widdle babykins out in the great big world without adult supervision.
But hey, that's just me in my awful childfree state talking.
Damn, I hope the good folks at Target gave this one the mocking laugh it deserved.
