Oh, ReBoot fandom...
Even though you don't technically exist anymore, you still bring the immaturity, the wank, and the batshit crazy.
So, after a long and busy day at work, I come home to relax, ahower, and watch some Sci-Fi Friday. But first, given that I've been at work for 12 hours, I decide to pop in and check my email.
Imagine my surprise as I discover a review for Facade, a ReBoot fanfic that I essentially wrote ages ago. I click and am even more suprised by the review itself, quoted here in all its glory because I felt like my flist just had to share this one:

Hmm...unique grasp of both spelling and grammar, serious overuse of capital letters, overabundance of netspeak, completely illogical conclusion drawn, and "critique" that is ultimately more insult than actual content.
Also, our little camper in question apparently has an account but no actual fanfics.
Yep. I believe that to have all the earmarks of a troll.
And not even a particuarly good one at that. Sheesh.
I remember a time when trolls at least attempted to be creative. They considered what they were doing to be revolutionary and counter-culture and going at odds with the mainstream, so they actually put some passion and thought into thier attacks.
Now? Well, damnit, if you're going to flame me, don't do such a shitty, half-assed job of it!
I mean, I think I deserve to at least be called a bitch here! Or have my possible parentage and/or sexual orientation called into question at least once!
And where's the swearing? There's not even one curse word in that flame! I don't even think that makes it an actual flame!
I'm totally insulted here! Erudamnit! If I write fic and go to the trouble of posting it to the stronghold of drama and batshit insanity that is the Pit of Voles, I deserve to get some quality flames!

ETA: So, I sent our little troll a reply and I'm personally hoping that it confuses her enough to cause head-'splodey.
Because that would amuse me deeply.
I would like to thank you for what was obviously a reasoned and well-thought-out review.
You clearly put time and effort into this missive, as shown by your impeccable, grammar, spelling, brilliant grasp of canon and character names, and throughly logical conclusions about my fic and suggestions for my next written endevour.
I fully intend to take this review in the spirit and sense of maturity in which it was so obviously intended, and I can only hope that you soon publish fics of your own so that I may be able to show you some of the same courtesy that you have so graciously bestowed on me.
