It was so hot. . .
Ugh. It was so hot and humid today. Even now, at 9pm, weather.com shows a temp of 88 degrees with a heat index of 95. My poor friend-her A/C broke yesterday and she can't find anyone to come fix it until tomorrow. We offered to let her stay at our house but she decided to try and tough it out. I can't even imaging how miserable she's going to be tonight. I'm miserable just thinking about it.
And I'm just now remembering that I haven't watered my flowers for 2 days. Oops. I'm sure they're nice and wilted by now.

Last year we got Katie a CD player/radio for Christmas. She usually uses it to listen to CDs, but just recently discovered the radio. Unfortunately for me, the station she happened upon is WSM, which is one of the oldest country music stations around. It is a Nashville institution known for playing the twangyist of country music. With one exception, I hate country music with a passion. At first I thought of finding her a different station, but so many pop music stations play music with questionable content and language, and I couldn't think of one that I was comfortable with her listening to. Suddenly WSM didn't sound so bad. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to stand it, but for now I just ask her to keep the volume down. ;)
I did hear an announcement on WSM that I thought would be interesting to atropos87, or actually Mr. A. I didn't hear all the details, but either this weekend or next WSM is hosting a Dukes of Hazard reunion show at the Grand Ole Opry. Apparently the entire cast will be there as well as The General Lee. Too bad I'm going to be out of town. :P
