Weird Dream and CBS fangirling

May 20, 2009 12:14

I had the weirdest recurring dream last night. I was living in my old apartment back in Hellville, the one I lived in when I went to elementary school. I was sharing said apartment with Jon and Kate Gosselin and their kids from TLC's Jon & Kate Plus 8. I don't know whose brilliant idea this would've been, as there's no way the apartment was big enough for the eleven of us.

Anyway, the weird(er) part was that Jon and Kate kept trying to get me to attend church with them. I didn't want to go because a) not into attending church and b) I was in high school in my dream and had a lot of homework to finish up.

The first Sunday I pretended to sleep in until they left, except that Jon was still there when I got up. He came into my room and tried to talk me into going, saying that it was really important to Kate. He also rubbed my leg; have I mentioned the weirdness that was this dream?

Oh, and I had a pool in my bedroom. That I went swimming in wearing my clothes. And there was a part where I was riding an amusement park train with my mom, except our train looked oddly like a subway, but on train tracks, and the train behind us was a series of 1930s-style cars. There were giant balloons on the track in the shape of Super Mario characters and we kept trying not to hit them.

So that was my dream, make of it what you will. I've only ever watch J&K+8 once, a few weeks ago, so I blame the media onslot of J&K+8-related stories for my dream.

On a completely different note, can I just say ...

FUCK NBC
and
YAY CBS!!!

Depending on how frequently you visit my thrilling LJ, you may or may not remember my previous post about how awesome it was that NBC had picked up my beloved Medium for a sixth season. WELL, it turns out that not only had NBC NOT renewed Medium, they cancelled it and the douchebag NBC co-chairman Ben Silverman released this statement full of LIES calling Medium "an aging franchise, without a single fan letter, with no passion."

BUT THEN...

AWESOME CBS, which produces Medium, released this statement: "NBC's cancellation of Medium is inexplicable to us. The ratings don't lie: Medium outperforms many of NBC's renewed shows.
Despite inconsistent scheduling, Medium -- under the creative vision of (creator) Glenn Gordon Caron, one of the most preeminent producers in television -- has always performed with distinction both creatively and commercially. Multiple award-winning actress Patricia Arquette and the cast have delivered a stellar series for five consistent seasons. The awards and ratings speak for themselves."

Then today, CBS announced that it had picked it up and will be airing it on Fridays along with another fave show of mine about a woman who sees dead people, Ghost Whisperer!!! AND it's starting in the FALL, so no more waiting 'til February for the new season!!!1! *fangasm*

SO...
RECOMMENCE MEDIUM DANCING!!!
