trees for tracey
we planted cherry trees today for tracey. it was really awesome, and tons of people came. it was really good to see that people still really care, and tracey's memory lives on in so many other people. i read the first thing i wrote after tracey died in our friendship circle. i think it was really all that needed to be said. i hope everyone enjoyed that. it makes me glad to make others feel emotions with my words.
we went to the sparling's house after we planted the trees, and i hung out with eric stipe for the first time in forever. i love that kid so much. i'm going to hang out with him fridays now, cause we both don't have class! woo! anyway, it was great catching up with everyone, and talking to the sparlings. i think reading what i wrote gave lee and sophie insight into the friendship i had with tracey for the first time for realz. it was good staying with jenni and janelle and rachel after everyone else had left.
anyway, when i was there i found a drawing i think tracey made in a stack of pictures. it said
"GOOD WRITING is like poison gas. It should bring tears to your eyes. It should excite your nervous system. It should knock you out."
i like to think i create good writing. let me know if you agree :)
off to the adventures of the night! who knows what tonight shall bring. i'm excited for life. ladies and gentlemen, i have never been better. i say that whole heartedly and with full sincerity. i love you all and am glad i'm lucky enough to be your friend.
