Today was great, if a bit slow in starting. Woke up sometime around noon I think, to rince rummaging around in the broom closet of a kitchen complaining that there was nothing to eat. I told him we'd go and get something to eat after I'd showered, he grumbled and complained of stomach pains until I reappeared fresh and clean and fully awake.
We ventured out onto the sweltering beach, which had a few hardcore surfers on it. After a short walk around the back of the shack, and past the outhouse and a little to the left we went into the jungle to this little grove of fruit trees, I found it the first day I went exploring after moving, so we picked some fruit and brought it back to the shack, where I whipped up a wicked hot and cold fruit salad like you would not believe, and everything was good.
We went swimming in the ocean, met up with some of the surfers and got a few lessons, I've always wanted to surf. After that we decided to head over to the touristy section of the island, The best grocery stores are there as well and I figured I'd need to stock up a bit more.
After oohing and aahhing at the cool tourist attractions and thwarting a would be pick pocket (who will now have a scar, you don't mess with a wocky's claws, man) we headed back to the residential section as the sun was going down and it got cooler. So I got a bonfire going which attracted a few stray surfers, but they didn't stay very long. We cooked up some dinner and then after a some rest I led the way back into the jungle to this lovely spot that I had found the day before by accident.
Turning left at a mouldy stone carving of a coconut native we could see the moonlight reflecting off the water cascading down the rocks into a large pool. There were ergy fruit trees all around it, so the entire place had a green glow to it, I showed rince how to climb the rocks to the top of the falls and we jumped in, and had fun swimming until we were worn out, and trudged back to the shack for a good nights sleep, after getting attacked by a few lone crabs that baqer quickly took care of, I'd get something to get rid of them, but then I'd actually have to buy food for baqer, who seems quite content with the steady supply of menacing little crabs.
