STATE OF THE MICHAEL
For those of you who still read this!
I was initially planning to move to New York City in September. Well, that's not going to happen, so instead I'm going to be moving in January or so!
Basically, Jon needs one more quarter to finish what he needs to do before we can finally, at long last, get out of Davis.
We didn't want to stick around for a year, though, so we needed to find a place to live that did non-year leases. Which we did!
A lovely couple out in Winters has agreed to rent out their cottage to us for a pretty reasonable price, and what's more, their place (which, while we technically are just renting the cottage, is huge and expansive and we will have free reign of most of it) is awesome. I'm really excited about it.
Also, me and Jon will finally be living alone. I have never lived by myself, and I have ALSO never lived with just me and Jon, so I'm doubly excited about that, too.
Everyone who likes me should totally come up to visit this place at some point, it's that cool.
I'm also going to transition to part time at work (I basically said three days a week, sometimes four if I need to, but never more than that), which will hopefully make my last 4 months there drift by relatively quickly. This ALSO means that I should have more weekends off, which will hopefully let me do everything that I need and want to do. Like visit people, or learn how to drive. Stuff like that.
Work is ... depressing. And I'm having a pretty hard time of it right now, but I just have to remind myself that, sooner than I actually think, this will all be over and I will be able to move on with my life.
September will be the start of that, and December/January will be the continuation, and then!
