Firstly I have to apologise for not posting sooner. Real life always seems to get in the way!
We've been a very small community for quite a long time, and it's been thanks to contributions from a small number of regular icon makers that the comm has been going for so long, especially as Livejournal is no longer the popular hang-out it once was with the appearance of other social hangouts. Fandom seems to be spread far and wide these days with Tumblr, Twitter etc Plus we all migrate to new shows or loves that become all-consuming.
There weren't any entries to the last challenge. This may have been the choice of pics, or people are busy elsewhere. I know one of the regulars checked in but it doesn't seem fair to rely on the three regular iconmakers each month when they may not always want, or be able, to take part. I will happily keep the comm running if people would like it to. I'm not asking for commitment from anyone, and I don't want you to feel obliged or like you have to produce something for each challenge, because that means it's no longer fun. However, obviously if no-one enters then the community isn't going to work :)
If I could, I'd like you guys to let me know what you'd like to do. I could try pimping the comm for new iconmakers, although given the slump in LJ traffic this may not work. I could look at branching out into other sites such as Tumblr if anyone thinks that could help. If you want to use this as an opportunity to back out of the comm, then there's absolutely no hard feelings. If anyone has any comments, please let me know. You can PM me if you'd prefer.
