Looking for fic, plus a rec
Oh mighty flist, come to my aid! I'm looking for Person of Interest fic that involve the Machine. I've read two, I think, POI fic - I'm not fannish about it in that sense (or I wasn't - I mean, I just binged on the whole first season, so it's new ground), but fuck a duck, the Machine!
It's like - I love JARVIS fic and (Tony's) bot fic in general. Both the fun ones where they protect Tony and Steve charms them and then they love Steve too and then Tony loves Steve and there's wall!sex and all that goodness, and the ones, delicious, where there's an edge. Where they Protect Tony, and themselves.
And the Machine is so ... ambiguous. The heart goes pitter-patter.

Calvin & Hobbes fusion - this is amazing. The idea of it and how well it works - Tony being Tony, but working perfectly well as a type of Calvin and the same with Cap and Hobbes. The two of them protecting each other. The hints about Obie. Steve's crush on Aunt Peggy. Utterly charming. It's both a Tony&Steve fic and a Calvin&Hobbes fic, and both sides are perfect.
If there's one story I've always wanted to write and never have managed, it would be a Calvin & Hobbes fic. It's the only fic that hangs out there that I've never managed to do - but all my ideas are so very sad and I can never pin them down anyway because, like childhood, they're more along the lines of ephemeral feels. Someday.
