1) Total number of books owned?
I'm going to guesstimate here and say 50-ish. The line gets fuzzy as to
which one's I've bought, or my parents bought, or my sister bought...so
I'll say about that.
2) The last book I bought?
Kushiel's Chosen by Jacqueline Carey
3) The Last Book I Read?
Hmmmm....the last full book that I read was Kushiel's Avatar by Jacqueline Carey. (I think)
4) Five books that mean a lot to me?
Memoirs of a Geisha by
Arthur Golden - Every time I read this book I am floored by it. I don't
know that I can even explain why, but I love how it is written. I love
the story. I love everything about this book.
Bridge of Birds: A Novel of an Ancient China That Never Was by
Barry Hughart - This is the first book that has made me both laugh and
cry all in the same day. It's awesome. The book is
incredibly clever, hilarious at times, but also a bit sad. A
friend of mine bought this for me years ago and I never got around to
reading it until recently.
Pickle Chiffon Pie by
Jolly Rodger Bradfield - I have more happy memories as a wee little
girl of this book than any other. The binding on it is so
incredibly tore up right now from being ready hundreds of times.
The Enchanted Forest Series
by Patricia E. Wrede - My first fantasy series I read in
sixth grade. I can remember sitting at my library table, chatting
excitedly about it with two of my friends/classmates who I conned into
reading it, as well. We had those flip-top desks in sixth
grade, and I would always get in trouble for putting my desk up and
reading this series during class.
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare - It's Shakespeare....how much more classic can you get?
5) Tag 5 friends to fill this out in their LJs.
