We got Wheelz!
we rented a motorcycle today and set off to explore the island. We saw some endangered red colubus monkeys and maybe a mandrill? it was some other primate, anyway. Abhi got pulled over twice, but no tickets... his papers were in order. We went to a butterfly farm today, and the gal there told us about an excellent restaurant run by a couple of rastafari. It was the most layed back, chilled out place I have ever been. The only rasta guys I've ever met have been Americans.... they have a long way to go to work on their inner calm. The food was AMAZING! I had BBQ spiced bananas, veggie curry with local spice, and a big heap of rice. We've been eating street food most of the time here, which is divine and wonderful (and I don't know of anyone who's gotten sick off it). Tandoori lobster, "zanzibar pizza", skewers of fish, assorted flat breads, fresh fruits... this is a place to come and eat!
Tomorrow is our flight to Bangalore... pictures of the Zanzibar Adventure will be along once the flurry of activity dies down, what with seeing the family and all.
