yesterday I did something that I've wanted to do for a while but never got up the courage to do before: I ate dinner in a nice restaurant by myself and didn't hide behind a book.
granted, I was the only customer in the restaurant (on account of the snow, I think), and I did feel a little bad that my twenty dollar meal wasn't enough to justify the entire staff being there, but hey, one customer is better than none.
