you made us celebrate christmas on a day in september when you knew it wouldn't be commercialized!

similar to how this gray day felt like christmas to me, today did too. I think it's just a general feeling, and not necessarily the events on the day that make me think about the holiday.

we changed back to standard time this morning, which means that we either get an extra hour of sleep, or we can wake up at the same time and be awake an hour earlier. I chose to do the latter, and was up and working before 8am.

it was toasty-warm in my apartment, and slightly chilly outside. quiet, but light out. gray sky, a slight layer of fog was hugging the buildings. norah jones playing on the radio. only a few cars driving on the street, and it felt like the times that I was awake before everyone else on christmas morning.
