Catch-up

So, it's been a really long time since I've updated. Which is really weird seeing a'since I've been writing in my paper journal like crazy over the past couple of days. Nothing really happened... it just takes a while for things to sink in before I can communicate my ideas? hehe, aka I'm super ADD.

Anyway, I don't really feel like getting into the deep and heavy stuff right now. Need to be in more of a thinking mood for that, I think. (hehe). Um... for now, how about I just give the cliff notes version of the past few months and then I'll finish up summing up my random dramas in another entry. Ahh, let's see..

Well, August was boring. Now I'm living in a dorm at the U of M in Morris. It's awesome, I love this place so much. My floormates are so cool. I'm in a triple room, so I have two roommates! Kristen from Duluth and Emily from Afton. They're both pretty super -- they're artists. We get along really well. We have movie nights in our room a lot. I love it so much. I wish our room could be packed all of the time.

I'm in band. It's fun. It's a whole nother world... I can't describe it, so I'm not gonna! Well, except that, it's not a family in the same sense as BC. ....and by "family", I mean "clique". :-P But there's a distinct separation between the music majors and the non-music majors. Which is cool! But it really made me nervous the first few weeks. And jazz band is so awesome, Doc is the GREATEST.

I've got classes (hehe, yep, as far as my parents know, I came here to work). General Chemistry I, Calculus I, American Government and Politics, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and a first year seminar (FYS) on "Global Perspectives on Children's Wellbeing". I hate my FYS so much. Yeah, that's right, I said the H-word. For real. And my American Gov't class... isn't something that matches my interests. At all. But all my other classes ROCK! ^_^ And I think my professors have the most hilarious vocabularies -- especially via email. "Yes, Jessica, you may, and would you like some grey poupon with that?"

There was a band concert last night. It was so much fun. Intense! Laurel, Garrett, Russ, and my family came to watch, I was so happy! It was like christmas. But better. I love it. Now we're moving on to the Band Fest pieces... I'm a little nervous (excited), because I've got solos in this one. The first flutist will be MIA for the festival, and the 2nd is on piccolo, so.... hehe. :-D It's going to be so cool. I hope lots of people come.

Hehe, I have to go make a fort now. Desperately. I desperately need to make a fort right now. RIGHT NOW. ;-) Bye.
