yaaaaaawwwwn. . . .
i was supposed to be at work at 9 AM today but Amit just called me to say that because of all the rain, the restaurant completely lost gas and electricity, so wooooooohoooo i dont have to go in for awhile! Of course, that means that I could be getting more sleep but instead i'm going to write an english paper.
school's been going really well, i've been getting all As. . . .so far
i've gotten comfortable with my job, it's a good one. . . . .of course now that i've grown content with the Grizzle, I get another job offer. . . .yeah, yesterday two of the women from Captain Al's (diner near central which ray and i frequent) came in to the Grizzle for lunch, and we got to chatting and they asked if I'd be interested in waitressing there in a few months, cause two of the waitresses there are pregnant! So yeah, that could be awesome! I told 'em yeah, that would be great! Maybe I could work there, and stay at the Grizzle. We'll see in a few months.
Ray is fantastic. . . .he loves his job at Charter Oak. . . .he and I spent Thursday night baking one hundred brownies to sell for his weekend. . . .he's camping-- yes, thats it, CAMPING.
On Wednesday, i started getting sick with a narsty cold, but it's starting to get better. i'm not feverish anymore. . . .thank christ for day-quil, i didn't have to call out of work yesterday :D make money money! It was busy during lunch yesterday, and I was so busy with takeout orders that i didn't really get to seat that much, plus i was all loopy with that day-quil detachment. . . .then dinner went smoothly except for the ceiling leaking into the restaurant from four different spots. Whoops. I'm rambling now. . . .
So, i love having health insurance, real doctors are amazing. I've been doing better, financially, than i had been over the past few months. . . .i'm building my savings account back up, cutting my loans down, keeping on top of my bills and that $628 refund check from my financial aid grants didn't hurt. . . .i love it.
I've been pretty busy with school and work and not feeling well, so i haven't gotten to see y'all as much as i would like to, but sooooooon ♥
