HOLY SMOKES (literaly!)
So, I thought the thing with Lisa in our apartment and the small electrical fire last year was bad... well, I just found out what is worse... small electrical fire in the ADPi house!!!! That's right... so last night we were getting ready to practice our skit for Rush, so it's late, it's like 12am. Someone goes to switch on the lights, and no shit, the light switch burns off... so the little plastic thingie is in the person's hand... we look in the wall and their are glowing embers and smoke is coming out of the wall... eek!! So, we called a bunch of people our Advisor, House Corp president and we also wake up our house mom... well the house mom calls the fire department, so we all have to evacuate... like they told us, "ladies, go and get your purses and your keys and everybody meet across the street in the Chi-O yard." so we all rounded up outside... 4 or 5 fire trucks coming pulling up.. .and this whole time I have been really calm... but then I see all of the firemen get out... and I start freaking out... I do the whole panic attack thing... they brought the ambulance, but I was like, fuck that... so I calmed down, tried to start to laugh... so, they told all of the girls that didn't live in the house to go home and the rest of us just wait... so the fire men came out and said that the fire was out, and that we can go in the house, but just not the chapter room (which is where the fire was), so we called the electriain to come out, and we had to call the university to come and check it out. So finally they told us that they would perfer us that lived in the house to find somewhere else to stay... well, Ann wasn't there because she had gone to Andy's so it was just me and Kelsey. So we drove over to Andy's and woke everybody up, and stayed there, by the time I got into bed it was 2:30 and they wanted us back up at the house at 8am so that they could tell us what was going to happen... we got there and they told us that we would have to wait a little bit before we would know about the chapter room... well, we ended up being okay.. .there is a big hole in the wall where the fire men chopped into it... but I guess it can be fixed... it was a crazy night... I will always remember this rush!!!
