The Busy Week and other stories
This is probably the busiest week I've had in a while. I'm probably trying to fit to much into my schedule - every evening and day is spoken for.
Work is particuarly busy at the moment. I have a number of court hearings and deadlines fast approaching. I'm trying to balance my work with the need to be home early for social events and work going on in the house. Monday was taken up with preparations for work on my kitchen and on Tuesday I was at the church bible study.
Tonight I am attending a wedding shower for a friend, Marianne, who is getting married on 31st August 2007. It should be a good evening. laura_w is coming home from Aberdeen specially for the wedding shower. As far as the wedding is concerned, I have a dress but no shoes/bag/shrug - so I better get shopping and soon! I'll have to find time this weekend somehow!
I also received an invite to plainrose's 10 years in Scotland celebration tonight. I am so disappointed I'm not free to go. It sounds fab. plainrose, I hope you have a great night.
The rest of the week is taken up with work on my kitchen. I can't wait till it is finished!! The kitchen I currently have is awful - it is about 20 years old and it has not aged well. We are dismantling the old kitchen on Thursday/Friday evening and anticipate installing the kitchen on Saturday and sunday - it may take longer. My dad and brother, Ian, are doing the work so the work will be done when they're free. I really need to be there to undertake important tasks like making tea and holding tools :)
