so i remember this survey thing i did a long time ago that was like the soundtrack of your life or something. and i can't find it and i don't want to find it. so here's the soundtrack of my life right now and the reason behind each song.. because you all want to know. and these aren't in order.. cause i'm a perfectionist with my cd order. and this isn't perfectly in order.
1) sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band: the beatles
_ first off, this song is awesome. the version when it goes into i get by with a little help from my friends.. it's just very relevant and it's so true how you get by each day.
2) no rain: blind melon
_ in the music video, who can resist the dancing girl in the bumblebee outfit? really. haha but it's a feel good song for me. because it talks about your life is pretty ordinary and you don't really understand yourself but for some reason it always makes me feel really content.
3) where are you going: dave matthews band
_ this song is so perfect for my romantic situation. since he and i aren't together, this song just fits. "are you looking for answers to questions under the stars? and if along the way, you are growing weary, you can rest with me until the bright of day and you're okay. i am no superman, i have no answers. i am no hero, oh that's for sure. but i do know one thing.. where you are is where i belong. i do know.. where you go, is where i wanna be." perfect? mmhmm.
4) i caught fire: the used
_ this song along with the one below this give me chills. maybe it's something about the whiney-ness of their voices.. i don't know what it is. and oh, the lyrics are very relevant as well. that's the big reason. "i'm melting in your eyes like my first time that i caught fire, just stay with me"
5) helena: my chemical romance
_ so i hate the verses of this song. i just really don't like them. at all. but the chorus gives me chills.
"what's the worst thing i could say? things are better if i stay. so long and goodnight.."
6) jessica: the allman brothers
_ one of my top ten favorite songs ever. if you haven't heard it.. haha you probably have heard me play it on guitar, but it just makes me happy and puts me in a good mood. if you've never heard i strongly suggest you take a listen.
7) buffalo soldier: bob marley
_ my favorite bob marley song. put this on around spring and i just get pumped for summer. i played it all the time during tennis season. =/ but it's my ultimate get ready for summer song
8) racist friend: they might be giants
_ another song that just makes me happy. it was my favorite they might be giants song as a little girl.
9) you're like coming home: lonestar
_ this song reminds me of some special guy. :) hahah it's an awesome song that talks about how somebody is just so comforting to them. and that's exactly what he is to me.
10) fly with me: dj mystik
_ my absolute favorite techno song ever. hahaha if i'm hyper and this comes on.. it's all over
11) party like a rockstar: the jt experience
_ my party song. nuff said.
12) high of 75: relient k
- reminds me of how good my life is.
13) tiny dancer: elton john
_ too many hilarious memories with this song. hearing an infamous drunk rendition of it.. slicing red onions with nickie at aziago's singing this at the top of our lungs crying cause of the onions with everyone looking at us.. erik and i listening to it all the time in norway and sweden.. you get the point.
14) god bless the broken road: rascal flatts
_ it's going to be my wedding song and probably in the top three of my favorite songs ever. the words are absolutely beautiful.
