Snagged it from June...
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Neither. I don't believe I've ever drank egg nog and I'm not super fond of Hot Chocolate; I'll drink it maybe once or twice but I've never been a huge fan of it.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Santa used to just leave the stuff unwrapped near the tree. And at some point, around 11 when I started collecting My Little Pony I informed my parents that Santa must not open the boxes that I wanted to put the pony playsets together myself. Yea so I knew who santa was but I still got Santa till I was probably 15 or so maybe and he knew not to open up my pony stuff.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? We had colored lights forever and then when we got a new christmas tree and I started decorating we used white lights. But there is no room in the house for a tree now so for the last couple of years there has been no christmas tree due to gigantic sectional sofa. However just this weekend I bought a small table top christmas tree. It's sort a cheesy but I do have a mini tree now. Actually I bought it for my Tonner dolls but at the moment it's decorated and sitting in the living room. I was gonna do cool christmas photos with my dolls. Still time to do that though so stay tuned.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? Not anymore but we used to have the 'killer mistletoe'. It hung in the doorway of the living room. It was a cheap wind chime with santa and Mrs. clause kissing with fake mistletoe on it. tall people would walk in and hit the chimes with they're head, hince the killer mistletoe name.
5. When do you put your decorations up? This past Saturday for the first time in 3 or 4 years.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish? meh, I don't know. I love turkey so bring on the bird.
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? We used to go out every christmas eve and drive around looking at christmas lights, etc. I always enjoyed that - other than that just having fun with all my cousins and seeing everyone in the family.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? To be honest I really don't remember, by the time I was about 10-11 I knew for sure but I'm thinking I might have been a little younger and an older cousin told me. I don't remember being upset or anything about it. You know maybe I was find with it because right now the only thing I can remember is I didn't tell my mom and dad I knew. I think I was more thinking, if they know I don't know then I'll not get any more christmas presents. So put me in Slytherin, I was being a cunning and quiet about what I knew about Santa. =p
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? We used to open one gift on Christmas eve and then the rest Christmas morning.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Load the thing up and hope she stands. I like a lot of ornaments cause that is the whole point of a Christmas tree, to be gaudy as hell. But as of now my little mini tree just has some silver bead garland, tiny little plastic colored balls, white lights and some feathery little different colored birds - in fact I didn't get enough birds so I gotta go back to store I bought them from and get a couple more. It needs something else cause it's kinda plain. Now, even though I like a full christmas tree I do like the idea of having a 'theme'. I see those in stores and I like the idea of sticking to one color, or whatever but then again, I'd have a hard time deciding what I'd want the theme to be if I just picked one.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? I like snow but it always shows up when I have to work and can't play. Bitch needs to show up on a weekend when I'm off and it should snow enough so I can build a snowman..and then it needs to get it's ass gone by Monday and never show up again. Show should be like christmas...one time event to enjoy and then leave to never reappear again till next year.
12. Can you ice skate? No, never tried.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? It always involves My Little Pony.
14. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Presents! muwhahaha! I don't know honestly, I could say sappy stuff like getting together with family, watching kids and adults puke christmas paper and ribbons all over the floor but at some point it just gets old. Maybe I'll steal Dumbledore from Harry Potter's idea and suggest Socks are pretty bitching. Socks are the most important thing about the holidays.
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Pumpkin Cheesecake from Olive garden or homemade red velvet cake or my mothers banana pudding.
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? driving around looking at Christmas lights was what I always enjoyed.
17. What tops your tree? An angel usually, but the new ones got a cheap $1 glittery gold star from target.
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? Giving.
19. Candy Canes: I don't like the regular traditional candy cane.
20. Favorite Christmas show? Rudolph was what I liked as a kid, as an adult it's probably something like the Griswalds Christmas Vacation.
21. Saddest Christmas Song? They make sad ones? oh wait yea there are some country songs out there. I don't know if it's sad there is one by the Oak Ridge Boys called thank god for kids. If by sad you mean does it make you cry then that one makes me kinda teary and at the moment I can't think of any others.
22. What is your favorite Christmas song? hum...Silent Night and O Holy Night possibly. I used to be able to play them on the keyboard and there were certain songs I was halfway decent at playing.
christmas,
