Okay so I haven't posted lately, I just don't get time anymore. I've managed to have 2 family members die in the last month and I had to have a root canal...so life has been kinda crazy to say the least...and frankly I was going to post a bunch more pictures but unfortunately the internet is not being nice tonight so I've only managed to get 2 of ( Read more... )

Your Severus doll is absolutely gorgeous! Hmmm...not sure though if he would appreciate being referred to as doll...

Thanks Toblass! Yes, he's a wonderful doll (Tonner Doll Company) and I'll add that yes he might not appreciate being called a doll. But, being that he is 19" inches in height I don't think he'll argue with me to much.

Don't know if you've ever seen my Lego Snape online photo comic. I haven't made a new episode in years but if you haven't I'll add the link into this comment. With your avatar of lego snape I'm thinking you would appreciate it; that is as long as you can ignore my bad grammar and spelling in the comics. I just started it for fun and it sort of grew into me doing more episodes, etc. Also after you take a look at the below link the blonde doll that I have a habit of putting together with my Snape doll will make more sense sorta.

Oh yea and be warned, each episode has many pictures so it may take some time to load depending on your internet speed.

Thanks! I will check out the link. Have you ever seen the Lego Snape where his head glows in the dark? Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if you own one!

(haha) Yes, he was my first HP set, the glow head Sev.

Most of my Snape's glow, I've only lately gotten the newest Snape by purchasing him on ebay.

If I ever get around to making a new lego snape episode I'm thinking I'm going to add his new look into the story somehow. The newer version has nicer hair style (well...if you can say plastic has a nicer hair style*hehe*).

And the glow one looks a little funny but it's cute, but if you look at my avatar, thats a glow head snape :)

Yes, the latest version has much nicer hair! My favorite thing about this one is the crease between his brows...looks just like Alan Rickman!

And he's got the flesh skin color. So many lego sets come with fricking yellow skin people. Which I know it's tradition but it's hard to buy other sets and photo the people together, it sorta looks cheesy with the color yellow they use. If they can do skin color on HP and POC sets I don't know why they cant just switch all the human minifics.

Thankfully I've managed to get so many Harry minifics that it's easy to just use the head and hands on other minifigs. But still, I'm glad they redesigned the Snape figure...although I do like the older versions little smirky one eyebrow lift expression. The older version, He sort of has this WTF are you doing expression.

If I ever get around to it I'll take a pic of them together to show off the difference.

I've realized that all sets that are sold based on movies/real people, the minifigs have "flesh-colored" skin. If it's a generic lego minifig or an original character, then it's got to have the trademark yellow "skin". Otherwise it would be too difficult for them, I would imagine to appease all those out there who will scream that Lego is being racist. It makes sense...I mean, you can't please everyone by making lego minifigs 10 different shades of "flesh".

I have a really wonderful book called Lego Harry Potter Building The Magical World. In it are listed stats of most of the Harry Potter sets and includes the evolution of various characters. Snape 2001, Snape 2004, Snape 2007 and Snape 2010 are all shown. If you haven't seen the book, here is the link:
