Benjamin's first steps
Yesterday, Benny took his first independent steps, and he is so happy with himself. Sarah and Hannah were visiting at the time, and we made a little celebration. Any excuse for cheesecake, you know. Today I couldn't get anything done for chasing him around as he practiced toddling. Michael is so excited you would think Benny is the first baby who ever walked. Me? I have mixed feelings. He was so triumphant, it was impossible not to share that feeling, but it's a little bitter sweet, my baby walking, taking his first literal and figurative steps toward independence.
