Getting old
I saw The Bourne Ultimatum today. Husband gave me the option of it or Superbad... so it should be pretty obvious why I chose the first. Don't get me wrong. It's not that I didn't like the first 2... it's just that I didn't love them. So I think it's accurate to say I felt a little ambivalent about the whole thing. It's very likely that this last one was better than it's predecessors. Outside of the shaky camera work and the annoying old bitty who sat next to me eating peanuts, it was a rather pleasant experience. Although I did see a review that alluded to the fact that if the shaky camera work bothered you then you just must be getting old. It made me want to shake my fists in his general direction and tell him that back in my day... You get the picture. I will say in my defense though, I get motion sick just from playing certain video games. Yea, I know...
I reinstalled my Sims game and I could die from sheer joy. We upgraded/downgraded the laptop so I can now play it on there as well... It has been a truly simtastic day. Although I did spend all of my playing time sans glasses and my eyes feel like they are on fire. Dammit.
Been attempting to clean house today. Yea that stopped as soon as my sims game was ready for me to play. I did shred a lot of crap and put it in our recycling bins. I'm such a bad homemaker. My parents are coming into town tomorrow, I gently reminded them that my house is and always will be a mess.
In fantastically nerdy news I got my first free issue of Nintendo Power magazine. They offered me a couple of free issues after registering my Wii and since they requested no credit card information I figured why the heck not.
We're also contemplating putting one of our dogs, we'll call her Itchy Butt, on some natural liquid that is designed for "pain, inflammation/allergies". We got a flier from 1800petmeds about it and from what I've read it has gotten really good reviews. I just want her to not be so miserable.
I think my eyeballs might just pop out of my head if I don't finish this soon. So there you have it.
