Life Continues

All of the thank you notes from the Neb’s have been mailed, and we are waiting on only two checks to close out our books and pay the hotel. Now I can more easily move onto other aspects of my life.

Did everyone see this: Quidditch in real life! This is what makes Matthew’s high school years so interesting and amazing. Yes, he played, no he is not in the video.

This weekend will be busy, with lots to do.

Matthew’s high school band concert is tonight and in addition to his regular trombone playing with the concert band, he will also be accompanying the symphonic band on the piano. I know he both excited and nervous about this, he also plays the guitar and I’m waiting for his public performances of that in the future.

Saturday, we will take my mom out for an early dinner for Mother’s Day and then I’ll spend some time with my mom after we drop Matthew off for his band’s banquet and dance, which ends around midnight (oh and he needs a ride home).

Sunday, I make sure Matthew is at Wild Basin at 7:00 am for the final (thank you!) observations for his Planet Earth class project. I’ll then take him south to spend time with his other grandmother and father for Mother’s Day and collapse.

Before the Neb’s I started to repaint and update the flooring in my house, I got one room all painted before the chaos began in earnest, lots of work to do there. Now if I can only find the energy on Sunday.

Or maybe I’ll just curl up with a book or movie. Oh, and its getting warm out there; highs this weekend will be in the 90’s. Welcome to Austin in May
