So let me tell you something very exciting -- I'm all set to take part in the Romantic Times Booklovers Convention, to be held in Columbus, Ohio, USA from April 28th to May 2nd, 2010.
This will be my first time at the RT convention, and I'm really looking forward to it because I hear it's a blast. Lots of parties, lots of great panels/workshops, lots of wonderful people. The Romantic Times magazine is really amazing. It might have started out focusing on romance fiction but these days it covers every kind of genre that women love to read. They review around 250 new titles every issue -- and have always been extremely generous to me -- which has to be one of the most comprehensive review resources around. Best of all, they don't sneer at popular, women-oriented fiction. They celebrate it. In fact, they celebrate all genre fiction -- no arty farty literati elitism here. Whether it's contemporary romance, urban fantasy, paranormal romance, hard sf or epic fantasy, the folk involved with Romantic Times treat the genres and their readers with absolute respect.
