1. It has been dreary and gloomy today. The perfect day to decorate for Halloween. It's slow going, but I'm enjoying it.
2. A psychic opened shop not far from my house. There's a giant Grand Opening sign across the front. I might have to visit. Anytime I mention visiting a psychic, Daniel yells out, "It's a porthole to hell!" Ha.
3. I would love to attend a seance. I would want to try to contact my mother and Tracy and my father. I wonder if there's a limit? I wonder if the new psychic has seances?
4. I watched a good documentary about J.D. Salinger on Netflix. Even though I didn't find him very likable, he was interesting. I think I am one of the few who isn't a fan of The Catcher in the Rye. That book just annoyed me. I didn't realize so many wanted to make the movie. Salinger turned them all down (obviously). He said he was the only one who could play Holden. He wrote until his death, and there are supposed to be lots of new writings published in the coming years. (Should I try Franny and Zooey?)
5. A book that I'm extremely excited about is The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. It's getting lots of good reviews. I love love The Secret History.
6. A movie that I'm extremely excited about is Grand Budapest Hotel. You know my great Wes Anderson love. The trailer looks sooooo good. I can't wait.
7. A movie that I ordered to watch for Halloween is The Ghost and Mr. Chicken with Don Knotts. I love this movie! And it's just the amount of scary (which is very little) that I can handle.
