try to find Jesus on your own

1. So, I fell asleep yesterday and dreamed I was bitten twice by a brown recluse spider. Then, I went down to kitchen in middle of last night, and a spider came straight down from ceiling and landed on counter. I never kill spiders (ok, that's a lie, because I will kill black widows), but this one looked scarily like a brown recluse. I turned around to find something with which to end its life, and when I turned back, it was nowhere to be found. When I went back upstairs, I googled images of brown recluse, and I swear it looked just like them. I went back to sleep and dreamed again I was bitten. The end. Or is it? (insert scary face here)

2. I watched MY John Prine (to relive my John Prine love, see here: http://karenleigh.livejournal.com/95170.html) on the Colbert Show a few nights ago. Throat cancer has really aged him, and it made me sad but did not lessen my feelings for him.
Here is a video of his younger days, singing one of his best songs (although he has so many "best songs"), looking all beautiful.

4. “When seen as a whole, art derives from a person’s desire to communicate himself to another. I do not believe in an art which is not forced into existence by a human being’s desire to open his heart. All art, literature, and music must be born in your heart’s blood. Art is your heart’s blood.”
- Edvard Munch

5. Zombies don't interest me. I just don't get their appeal. I love vampires, but mostly those in the Victorian era who speak with an accent.
I can't wait for this:

6. This painting is new to me:

7. I make an ass of myself on twitter daily.

8. I am obsessed with Kanye West's Black Skinhead. I want to (and do, when possible) listen to it over and over. It's stuck in my head at this very moment.

9. I'm slowly going through the book E-Squared: Nine Do-It-Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality by Pam Grout. I started with much skepticism, but I must admit I've experienced some amazing signs.

10. Possibly the most beautiful horse I've ever seen:
