One More Small Thing...
Last week, I received a membership solicitation for the Natural History Museum. It's one of my favorite museums, but I was thoroughly disgusted at the free gift that they were giving away with membership. They were giving away a book called, "Owl Puke" and an Owl pellet.
Dissecting an owl pellet was the most disgusting thing that I ever had to do in any biology class. I had to pull apart the wet fur, looking for small bones and then reassemble to bones to see what creature my owl had eaten. I will admit that it was interesting, however, the pellet had an awful smell and it kind of looked like tuna. I did not eat tuna for over a year. I still cringe just thinking about it. I cannot imagine taking an owl pellet as a free gift. YUCK!!!
