A First
This morning I experienced a first...I was woken up at six in the morning because of a rooster. Maalea Kai is kind of in a rural area of Maui and when we were walking down the street yesterday, we came across a bunch of hens, chicks and a rooster. I got all kinds of excited, especially over the super cute chicks. This morning when the rooster woke me up, I had to laugh.
All of the traveling went smoothly yesterday. We hired a car service to take us to the airport, check in was a breeze, nice flight, luggage came fast and we got upgraded for free at the rental car place. We now have a mini van that would have been over a thousand extra for the trip, but the girl just gave it to us as a surprise. It was so nice.
We went to both Costco and the market to stock up. I am already sunburned. Dinner was at a place called "Stella Blues" when I decided to have teriyaki tofu. Don't make a face, it was good. After a very, very long day, we all went to bed around nine.
Today is all about shopping in Lahaina. I am going to go for a jog on the beach now. As I write this, I can look to my left and see the ocean, so pretty.
