Leap of Faith - and Karen - update

I've been watching people so long. Something you realize by being around them is that there is a single common thread, a universal truth, connecting all of them - and me. It's inexpressible. I feel it strengthen in my 'family' when we are all together in a group hug. In the kitchen, I hear someone say, "I love our family" and as I am walking ( Read more... )

Thank you, Alex. Funny. It all started with three people putting their money into the same account. It just doubled when we got the house and now two more people are here. That makes eight adults and Devin - who was 5 on Monday, Happy Birthday to him! I've always wanted an environment where you could drop your guard and be yourself. Pat helped me by showing me it was possible. Thank you, Pat - you little hobbit. The rest is fate. I know we are going to grow. I can feel it in my bones. Maybe we can start other groups with the same structure. We are very happy. Thank you. You can come by and visit if you like. We are mostly settled-in. Call me if you are interested: 916-714-6533
Love Karen

That would be great. I'll try and swing a visit next time I'm in Sac. I'd love to talk to you about how it all came together sometime too. I'm toying with the idea of doing something along those lines myself, although I'm not sure how serious about it I am yet. At this point, I think I'd rather find one than make my own, because I have some other stuff in life I'm working on, but on the other hand, it would be closer to what I want if I make it. :)

Think of it as a community relief program. It's like the Musketeers - All for one and One for all. It benefits the group if you are successful. I would love to help. I have so many ideas I would love to share. Let me know when you are in town next. I am looking forward to it.

Devin's Birthday was on Monday, March 10th. He is 5. This weekend I would like to get together a little birthday party for him. He doesn't know many short people but I would like for all the people who know him to be there. Details coming soon....

And Pat, you were the person who made it okay to be me. And I saw how you unselfishly and unjudgementally welcomed others into your home without being judgemental. Some people think like that but they don't show it in their actions afraid of being viewed as one of the scorned. Guilt by association. You are different. And take the 'Thanks' dammit! I love you.

Aus came over on Tuesday but I didn't see him. I was asleep already. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want you to see the house.
