(no subject)
inspired by steve, i think i will post something.
this was a good couples of weeks.
vacation started with a trip to put-in-bay, a boat ride, a winery tour, and family visit. was much fun.
we had the shindig last saturday. seemed like a good time was had by all. it was kind of cool but great to see them venture into the pool and have a good time anyway. also too windy for a fire but jess and i discovered microwaved smoors ain't so bad.
sunday, we cut down a tree. well justin did the actual TIMBER part but we all had a hand in chopping the sucker up for trash and burn. more smoors please.
monday, vacation was over, back to work. but working from home is so great. was able to log on several times throughout vacation week and go through emails and such. used to be so stressful to try do get through it all and get work done on the first day back from vacation. now it's easier.
wednesday, we saw harry potter. i liked it. jess says you got to separate the books from the movie, apples and oranges, but there is enjoyment to be had by both. thinking of listening to the book on tape now.
thursday jess got free tickets to the reds ballgame. hmmnnn, beer. yes folks, i'm not crazy about sports but i love beer. beer good. great seats. good time. i enjoy the atmosphere, people watching, and can get even caught up in the game for a little bit. course we left early and never did follow up on the final score or anything. but yeah, really i'm just there for the beer.
friday night finally cleaned house. dirty floors was driving me nuts. i'm trying to go barefoot more often again. almost killed a kitten a couple of times with shoes on. after i broke my toes last year, i started wearing shoes all the time for the toe protection. but i was always barefoot girl and it's easier to feel if you are stepping on floor or fur without shoes, so i'm trying that again. just got to keep cleaner floors now coz don't want to step on pieces of ... ewe, what is that?? :)
saturday went to grandmas, took her long johns fish for lunch. she loves it. we talked, watched tv, she loves bob ross reruns, fixed up a place for her to feed the squirrels and be able to sit in her chair and see them. we clean off the front porch a little. she looked through some drawers. then came home and had dinner out with browncoats at the crooked nail. i love that place, the fish is excellent, but since i already had fish, got to try something different. the meatloaf. it's ok but will probably not get that again or for very long time. had it for lunch today and i'm still stuffed. yes, strange thing, but my ability to eat beef is back. not so gross anymore, actually tasty. not sure when or why that happened.
today finished B5. everyone told me season 4 was the best and season 5 was just ok. I think i liked season 5 best of all. finally a little character development and emotions. i think the thing i disliked most about B5 was the production, the staging, the soap opera like acting and filming. might be kind of fun to see someone get a hold of this story and do it all over right. maybe it was answered in those summary shows at the end of season 4, but what happened to the telepaths? and g'kar? seems like that was the only questions i was left with.
also finished angel, after the fall today. loved it.
and worked at the part time job today, cut up some weeds for tomorrows trash day, laundry, etc.
and oh yeah, posted on lj. how about that!!
