A Brief Hello
Hi guys. Most of you haven't heard from me in a while, so I figured I'd give a brief update to let you know that I haven't dropped off the face of the earth--just the face of Harrisonburg.
So it started about a month ago when I came down with mono. Super fun, by the way. I did my best to continue student teaching despite being sick, but I tried too hard and got even sicker. So my parents came and whisked me home to North Springfield where I've been for more than two weeks now. In that time I got sicker again, but now I'm on the road to recovery. I've even started getting dressed instead of staying in pajamas. And I'm trying to get my mom to take me out of the house. Maybe tomorrow.
I'm not certain yet when I'll be going back to Harrisonburg. Even though I'm much much better, I still get tired very easily and have to "rest" a lot. I should be fine to restart student teaching with my second placement March 6th--at least, that's the plan.
Beyond that, I just wanted to let you all know that I miss you and JMU and can't wait to rejoin you all...and I also can't wait to drink again. This forced sobriety isn't so much fun, especially when my dad rubs in my face that HE can drink...and does. Right in front of me. He's even tried to get me to smell his beer to make it worse for me. Jerk. (Kidding.)
Anyway, I'm alive and well and will join you all again soon. Miss you! Happy St. Valentine's Day!
