This is what happens when it's late and we talk online...
"Adventures of Girls whose Names Rhyme with "barren"
~ by Karen Marie Stanton and Erin Elizabeth Stephens
erinskee83: "He had cowboy written all over him. And that's what drew Karen Marie Stanton to him."
KarenForYou83: "He was going to break her heart...just like he broke wild horses."
KarenForYou83: Erin Elizabeth Stephens, wary by nature, was wary of this cow poke in his chaps and spurs.
erinskee83: Erin was wary in nature because all she knew of boys was their confusing nature... their inability to articulate their feelings and leave girls... confused.
erinskee83: She knew that karen was going to end up broken-hearted
KarenForYou83: She said, "Karen...you're going to end up broken-hearted. Stay away from him!!"
erinskee83: She was subtle that way.
erinskee83: But it was too late. Karen was gone. Gone like the morals in a Christina Auguilera video.
KarenForYou83: The sexy texas drawl did her in. Who wanted sissified city boys who talked fast? Not karen.
erinskee83: This Texan knew what he wanted and wasn't afraid to go for it. Yes Karen.
KarenForYou83: "Wanna ride?" he winked at her.
KarenForYou83: "Excuse me?!"
KarenForYou83: "The horse. Do you want to ride it?" he asked, gesturing to the chestnut mare next to him.
KarenForYou83: "Oh." Karen was disappointed that he wasn't flirting with her.
erinskee83: But wait!
erinskee83: Maybe he was!
erinskee83: "As long as you don't mind riding double. You'd have to ride behind me and hold on tight."
erinskee83: "Hmmm," thought Karen. This could work.
KarenForYou83: Erin groaned. How could Karen be so dumb?
erinskee83: Erin did NOT groan.
KarenForYou83: Erin did so groan. Everyone heard her.
KarenForYou83: "I didn't come with her, " Karen whispered to her cowboy
erinskee83: Erin agreed to forget this slight to their friendship, partly because her attention was caught by the man in the corner.
KarenForYou83: "Hey, little lady," he said somberly
KarenForYou83: She could see something in him, when she gazed deep into his eyes. This wasn't just any cowboy.
KarenForYou83: "I heard you groan...are you in distress of some kind?"
KarenForYou83: Erin's greatest fantasy was to be a damsel in distress, saved by some wonderful man.
KarenForYou83: "YES!"
KarenForYou83: "I mean...no...."
erinskee83: She was by no means desperate.
KarenForYou83: (Of course not.)
erinskee83: But the seed was planted. And fortunately this story moves faster than real life.
erinskee83: While Karen rode off into the sunset with her cowboy on a stallion, Erin and her cowboy rode off into the sunset on his trusty steed.
erinskee83: The two couples traveled the west together and had lots of babies, who married each other.
KarenForYou83: um...
KarenForYou83: Erin's children married Karen's children. Their children did NOT marry their siblings.
KarenForYou83: It's Texas, not West Virginia.
erinskee83: But they eventually re-joined civilization
erinskee83: As to not make scary incestuous children
KarenForYou83: The End!
Apologies to those of you who have us both on your friends list. But I didn't want to put it behind a cut.
