How time flies while one is having a crisis.
I was finally able, 7 years after the first publication, to read through Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows for the second time.
So, it's a book. It's not that interesting, IMO. But it is better-written than I remember. Internally the plot hangs together. But still the setting, the society postulated, does not hang together. It isn't even a cardboard construct: this society does not work.
And the complete trashing and discarding of one of the most interesting characters in modern fiction: Severus Snape, is still indefensible.
I guess grieving can come to a close.
