Love & Deadly Interview
Hey guys! A friend of mine niki1988 has a new fic that will be coming out later this year and she wanted me to interview her so here it is!
If you are a twilight fan and a fan fiction fan then the next story for you is Love & Deadly by the great author Lindsey. I recently caught up with the writer and asked her some questions about her new and first Twilight based story.
Tell me about your new fanfic and the inspiration behind it?
Lovely & Deadly is the first Twilight fic for me and takes place during New Moon with a twist of things. New Moon and Jennifer's Body were one of the inspirations where I was in a dark, frustrating part of my life where I was having trouble with my writing and there were so many things going on that I couldn't concentrate or escape my past problems. With the Twilight saga, it has been helping me fight against some of those demons and helping me hold onto my gift of writing.
Interesting.
So what is the main topic of this Twilight fic would you mind giving me a rundown of what the readers can expect from it?
Thank you. In New Moon when the Cullens leave Forks, she (Bella) feels she's lost her chance at forever with Edward and the only ones who are still on her side are Charlie and Angela, who is going through a hard time as well. The girls will tire of the good girl image and start feeling as if they are living their lives the way they want to with the help of new comers who will arrive in Forks that not only they will be attached to. Also, the topics within the story are loss, hurt, anger, love, adrenaline, and losing ones self.
So what about Edward and the Cullens are they going to be an important part of this fic?
Yes, the Cullens will have an important part on their return months later. They'll be living in South America while Edward is living alone and they are miserable without Bella being there and not being able to know what is going on with her or aware of the changes that have occurred to her and Angela Weber. But they won't stay gone forever and they are going to fight to win her back along with her trust. And they won't be the only Vampire visitors to be in Forks.
Picking Angela is an interesting choice why did you decide to pick her to be one of the people Bella finds comfort in instead of the other characters?
Angela is one of my other favorite characters and I felt that she would be a more supportive friend to Bella during the time of her depression after the Cullens left and I've seen other writers fics where sometimes they don't bring her up when Bella is sometimes bullied by Jessica or Lauren and her being the one to understand her pain when Edward Cullen is gone and she's trying to deal with the fact she won't be with him forever like she wanted.
You said that you were inspired to this this fic during a time when you were going thorugh some things in your personal life do you feel like your story will not only be enjoyable but also relatable to the readers who might be going through difficult things and did you write it with that in mind?
I hope they enjoy it and as for relating, it may depend on some parts during Bella's zombie state when she felt her world was over.
Now at the start of this interview you said something about Jennifer's Body does this fic has something to do with the movie like for example is it similar when it comes to the relationships between the characters?
It won't be like the movie where it was a Satanic ritual, that's for sure. The start of the new Creatures will take place back during the Greek times. Quinn, who will be portrayed by Ashlee Simpson, is the daughter of one of the Ancient Goddesses and then during that time, she and her Mother suffered a horrible loss of a family member and were seeking revenge. When she meets Bella, she feels happy and that's something she hasn't felt in a long time, like a sisterly bond and the others with her; some will like them and some won't at first.
Are you introducing a lot of characters?
Yes, the girls Bella and Angela will be friends with who are Cheerleaders/Exotic Dancers/Roller Derby Players/ and Adrenaline seekers, the Denali coven will also be apart of it as well and the Volturi.
Will Jane make an appearance cause she is a fan favorite?
That's correct, she will. Because for this type of monster, it will take more than one Vampire coven to deal with this monster along with the help of the Wolves.Not to mention, Jane is a Badass and her power will definitely come in handy! Am I right?
Well yes Jane is very badass and according to the author there will also be creatures involved and according to her.
Well, their not Vampires and their not Werewolves, but are very much a new threat to both species that will be a big problem for them keeping the secret by drawing too much attention with ongoing killings happening in various places of the world.
Lastly, will there be a Love & Deadly part 2?
I'm thinking about it, but I'm not sure. Maybe the after math when the chaos is stopped.
