We got up Saturday morning as usual yet we noticed one of the smaller members of the house hold semed to be frequenting the toilet. After about the 6th time in as many minutes we doecided to bundle Doughnut up and take her to the vet!
After my right arm stopped bleeding we toddled down to the vet and was told she had an infection and he wanted to keep her there for the morning/afternoon. So we left and she was picked up at 5.00pm. After parting with $200 and being given tablets and, as Alyssa calls it, "Banana milk". It appears that Doughnut has Feline Idiopathic Cyctitis a fairly uncomfortable bladder infection that she will now have for life! She has been put on a special perscription diet that is only available from vet's that is for a 1kg bag....$34!!!!
Yes, it was a lot of money to part with very quickly but when I think about how I felt leaving Doughnut behind at the vet's it's not so bad.
She is happier and less toilety so all is good in the world. Until tomorrow when we find out how much it will be to build the new house...yikes!!!!!!
