Ever since the bed migrated to my bedroom--and also since I've joined
Pinterest--I've been on somewhat of a Spring Cleaning binge. This has gone from revamping my electronics (getting rid of annoying things on my computers and iPhone) to delving into all of my cupboards, investigating squeaks and gadgets, and just rethinking my approach to how I handle certain tasks. I figured out a way to transfer files to and from my iPhone which is fast, and may enable me to do some writing on the go...and integrate ideas with the new
Scrivener program I purchased. (Bucket list item: write a book.)
I've reorganized my bathroom "workstation" to have what I need underneath, and not just all of the cleaning products. My necklaces now hang beside my mirror from a new frog hook a friend gave me for my birthday. I've put my smaller earrings and hair clips into a clear spice bottle rack right below, on top of the plastic rolling organizer I bought last year for all that makeup and bathroom stuff (drawers for washcloths, hairbrushes, makeup, and other sundries). Inside all of the drawers are plastic office baskets from the dollar store, so things are where I expect them to be.
The spices from that spice rack I threw out as I had never used them anyway, and that inspired me to move down the spices I do use to right above where I do most of my cooking preparation. The lazy-susan is much more accessible, and the spices I use the most are on the outside (and the decorating sprinkles I never use are on the inside). I put all of the pill bottles (vitamins, etc.) that I hardly use anymore into a basket, and labelled the tops of each cap so I know what is what very quickly in the morning (when I usually remember to take vitamins). I also pinned a list of what was in the basket to the outside, just in case I am tempted to buy doubles again. I've also done this with my spice overflow. Note to self: I'd like to join a "spice club" so that I can share what I buy with others, and vice versa.
So, now the popcorn match of Roger vs Milos is on, and I've bored you enough. :) It's the first time they've played!
