Mass market headed for the Pyr(e)?
It sounds like bad news, but it's not. Pyr is the science fiction imprint of Prometheus Books and GalleyCat reported that Pyr is having a go with mass market. I find it encouraging that a publisher is expanding its formats in this economy. It goes against the panic that seems to have set in in some areas. And maybe once they get comfy with the whole mass market thing, they'll branch out into e-books. Now that I own a Kindle, I am eager for spec fic publishers to climb on the e-book bandwagon with me. Come on in! The digital water is fine! (I think I just mixed my metaphors. Holy Sarah Palin!)
