The dawn of color
E-ink is great! It gives you a crisp screen with no eyestrain even after hours of reading. It takes so little power the battery lasts for days or weeks. But right now e-ink doesn't give you color. So, the big question is, can e-ink manage a color display without losing its benefits?
The folks at E-Ink Corp. seem to think so as they are demoing it at a conference in San Antonio at the end of this month. I will definitely watch for reviews from that!
And once it's working, it will be interesting to see how long it takes to make it to the market.
