Im not sure anyone will really care to read this, but ive got to get it out somewhere. If you do read it, please dont start a fight with me. I dont really care what your personal choices are because they are just that, personal. This is my personal journal so Im going to write about it here

I am positive that you are not alone in being pressured into going with it, and you shouldnt beat yourself up for doing something that your doctor told you to do, were supposed to trust our doctors! Unless you really look into it its also just something that seems like you should do because it just is, so dont beat yourself up over it.

I think my main issue is with the ignorance, or at least the fact that we are guided into this ignorance by our families, what we know as normal, and in some cases trusted medical providers. I am guilty of it too, until recently I honestly had no idea what the procedure really entailed. It just makes me really sad and angry that it is like that. I think that everyone should be properly informed, not told things like "oh they cant feel it" (which is total bs), and actually see what happens when the surgery is done. Then we can all make our personal choices. Instead we are all led to believe that were weird and that our children will be some sort of freak if we choose to not have the totally unnecessary procedure done.

thanks for that. and sorry about all the screw ups in my comment. at least you were able to understand what i was trying to say. i tend to make mistakes when i get in an uproar and try to type too quickly.

i agree with you. funny how most people rally against female circumcision, but no thought is given whatsoever to the males. (and i know there are major differences in procedure, etc. but i still think it's horrible)
this is just a commonplace thing. it is crazy.
