I've officially entered myself in the Chicago marathon. For those of you who are non runners, a marathon is 26.2 miles. I'll be running about 60 miles a week (8 to 9 a day) and given my history with running will prolly end up destroying my legs forever. But i'll qualify for Boston (another marathon) and then i get to do the whole thing over again ( Read more... )

If you really do destroy your legs forever, I'll buy a baby backpack and carry you around everywhere. I know you'll love that.

(This is motivation to take care of yourself and make sure you can still walk after.)

but seriously, i prolly won't be able to walk at all for the next week. maybe a wagon wold be more practical?

Good Luck Carrie! I need to get my millage up before I start thinking about marathons I'm at about 40 a week right now so we'll see. I also need to run a couple half marathons first, lol, you'll do great have fun and don't wry about your legs everything will work out. I hope you make Boston!!!

haha thanks =) and yeah i was only at about that much before i decided to run this, so i upped my milage by 20 a week and i'm just gunna hope for the best i suppose
